The Sun-Nymph Bride
A cozy slow-burn Regency-inspired fantasy romance
Calatini Tales, Book 5

In the Regency-inspired kingdom of Calatini, magic can complicate anything… even true love.
When Pippa Hawke sees Edouard, Lord Blaine, at a family wedding, it’s love at first sight. Sunny, cheerful Pippa charms Edouard unlike any lady has before, and she’s just as enthralled. But Pippa has yet to be introduced to society, with her reclusive father intending to keep it that way. And Edouard is too conscientious to court a lady as young as Pippa before her debut, no matter how much he loves her.
Yet Pippa knows that Edouard is the gentleman she’ll marry, regardless of the many others attempting to court her. She sends heartfelt letters and arranges intimate outings that deepen their love, until serious, careful Edouard is taking delicious risks that cause her father to denounce him as rakehell and forbid their betrothal.
But Pippa’s father isn’t the only threat to their courtship. In Calatini, magic is real… and sometimes, it’s a curse that destroys even the strongest love.
The Sun-Nymph Bride is a cozy, fairytale-inspired low spice historical fantasy romance, perfect for romance lovers looking for a little extra magic. Fans of Robin McKinley’s fairy tale retellings will fall in love with the Calatini Tales.

Excerpt:
When Pippa, so lovely in her shimmering cream ballgown, spotted him in the receiving line, her welcoming smile brightened to a radiant grin as glowing as a sun nymph’s, and she kept glancing at him despite the other guests she was greeting.
Warmth filled his chest. Pippa was clearly elated to meet again too. Hopefully, her interest would last after she danced with other eligible gentlemen tonight. Her sweet and bubbly nature would draw them to her like nectar drew the bee-like melissae, so they’d all seek to court her.
As he halted to greet her, Pippa beamed and leaned forward, despite Sir Julian almost frowning beside her. “E—Lord Blaine, I didn’t think you’d attend tonight.”
Gazing into Pippa’s warm-brown eyes, Edouard bowed with his hands laced behind his back to not take her hand and kiss her palm. From how she’d said his title, she thought of him by his first name like he did her. “Father would have wanted me to attend.”
Pippa held his gaze and nodded, her rich chestnut hair gleaming in the witchlights. “Are you dancing?”
He swallowed a sigh. If only he was. “No, I can’t disregard my mourning that much, and I doubt I’ll stay long.” Watching Pippa dance with everyone else would be painful.
Her beam flickering, Pippa nodded again. “Before you leave, we should enjoy a flute of sparkling wine together. ‘Twould be a welcome respite from dancing.”
Edouard smiled at Pippa as his heart warmed further. “I’d like that.”
Scowling now, Sir Julian humphed. Clearly, he didn’t approve of the warmth between his young daughter and a gentleman she’d only spoken to twice. Or was he scowling because he knew about their letters over the past nine months? An unbetrothed lady and gentleman exchanging letters was near scandalous and could damage her reputation if they were discovered. A pang darted through Edouard. Now that Pippa was out, they must quit their letters, no matter how much they both enjoyed them.
Sir Julian shifted closer to Pippa. “Lord Blaine has lingered long enough. You’ve other guests to greet.”
