Weaving cozy tales of fantasy romance

Website Updates 2026

So this book extra is a little different (and longer) than usual and not the one I originally planned, but I’ve been revamping my website over the past few months, and I wanted to share the changes here. 🙂

In addition to some coding stuff (which I won’t bore anyone by detailing, lol), I added some new content on all my books pages and my author page to improve SEO/GEO.

Here’s what I added on my book pages:

Content that you can get on book retailers: subtitle, book comparison chart, sample chapters, and graphics like this one for The Lethe Elixir that I’ve shared with you before.

The Lethe Elixir A+

But I also added content exclusive to my website: Frequently Asked Questions and Calatini Tales Connections. Below is a sample FAQ question and the series connections for The Lethe Elixir.

The Lethe Elixir Sample FAQ Question

  • What makes The Lethe Elixir cozy fantasy?
    • The Lethe Elixir is cozy fantasy because it features a comforting, heartwarming story with low-stakes magic, a focus on romance and relationships, frequent comfort food, fairy tale vibes, sweet moments, and a guaranteed happy ending. There’s no graphic violence or dark themes.
  • For the other book FAQs, visit The Lethe Elixir’s page!

The Lethe Elixir Calatini Tales Connections

  • Heroine: Elise is the twin of Edouard from The Sun-Nymph Bride.
  • Hero: Seanian serves on the royal council for Devon and Kiera from The Nightmara Affair.
  • Story: Second chance romance like The Goddess’s Illusion.
  • (Many more series connections exist. These are just the top three.)

Instead of that brief list, I had intended to add a series graphic showing all the connections like this.

But… it was a bit complicated and not very visually appealing, which just shows how entwined my books are. (And it only got worse when I added the next 5 books that I have scheduled!) However, I thought you would appreciate seeing the first version—especially since there’s a sneak peek of the title and cover coloring for Book 9.

Check out the changes on your favorite book:

  • The Spellbinding Courtship
  • The Enchanted Bird
  • The Nightmara Affair
  • The Secret Soulbond
  • The Goddess’s Illusion
  • The Sun-Nymph Bride
  • The Beast Curse
  • The Lethe Elixir
  • The Mermaid Pearl

Now on to my changes on my author page…

I added some extra paragraphs about Calatini Tales and the vibe of my books. Visit my About page to read those.

And I also added FAQs like on my book pages. All of those are below! 💖

About FAQs

  • How do get your ideas?
    • I read a ton (a TON) of books. (If I’m not writing or working, I’m likely reading, lol.) So most of my ideas are inspired by combining everything I’ve read, often by considering a specific aspect of them that’s not often done. (For instance, The Nightmara Affair is Cinderella focusing on how Kiera learns how to be queen.) And the more I write, sometimes the snippets I’ve used in previous books to describe side characters tell me what their story should be. (For instance, The Lethe Elixir was inspired by Elise’s yearning for children that I mentioned starting in The Enchanted Bird.)
  • Why Regency-inspired fantasy romance?
    • As a kid, my favorite books were fantasy. Then I fell in love with romance during college, especially Regency romances. I tried writing regular Regencies for a bit, but I wanted magic and more freedom to explore. So I combined my love of fantasy with my love of Regency romances to create Calatini, a kingdom with Regency vibes but set in a alternate, fantasy world.
  • Why low-spice and cozy romance?
    • As a reader, I enjoy a wide range of romance, from clean to spicy and cozy to realistic. (Although I don’t care much for extreme erotica or dark romance.) So when I began writing, I chose low spice (PG-13) because that was in between, and I chose cozy because an engaging escape is why I love reading.
  • Do I need to read Calatini Tales in order?
    • No, each Calatini Tales book is a standalone story with its own complete romance with a happily ever after (HEA) and no cliffhangers. While all are set in the same magical world and characters reappear, each book can be enjoyed independently and read at any point in the series, although reading in order enhances world-building enjoyment.
  • How many books will there be in Calatini Tales?
    • I honestly have no clue! I originally planned to start a new series at around 6 books, but my characters are so entwined, and I usually have overlapping timelines. Both of those made it impossible to start a new series, even a spinoff one. I guess I’ll just keep writing Calatini Tales until I reach a natural break.
  • What about audiobooks?
    • Unfortunately, traditional audiobooks are very expensive to produce. However, new technologies are becoming available that are more affordable, so I hope to produce those soon! Sign up for my newsletter to be notified when they’re available.

That’s basically everything. I hope you enjoyed this deep dive into my website. Next time, we’ll return to my usual book extras—a topic near and dear to Elise and Seanian’s hearts. 🙃
