On the eastern coast, Dracwyn and Merrilea dominate Calatini’s sea trade. (Although Magehaven and Valcrest also have some significant ports.)

Dracwyn

Ruling Family: Viante

Unlike the other duchies on the coast, Dracwyn has no large ports. Many of Dracwyn’s coves have a smuggler’s ring, most run by the nearest village. The smugglers sell their exotic and contraband goods to merchants at smuggler’s faires throughout the year. (The secret locations of these faires move each year to keep abreast of the authorities.)

Merrilea

Ruling Family: Moran

Merrilea is home to Ormas, Calatini’s capital and largest port. (Ormas is in the northern part of the duchy, about the center of Calatini’s coast.) The legal sea trade, royal court, religion, and culture are based in Ormas. Due to proximity to the capital, the rest of Merrilea is populous yet prosperous.
